Kane and I received some devastating news, after a MRI prompted by him having 4 seizures over a 2 week period, Kane was diagnosed with a brain tumor in his right frontal/parietal lobe. The vet believes it started growing 6 months to a year ago and has given him 3-6 months left. He believes the tumor is just bad luck and not hereditary. I am still in disbelief and shock that that is how long I have left with my best friend. We have decided not to attempt radiation and surgery because the vet thinks that would only maybe give him 4 more months and I don't want to put him through the side effects. I am committed to making the time he has left special for my truly one of a kind best boy...
Rest in peace my best boy, you and I accomplished so much in our short time together. They say no dog is perfect, but Kane was. He was perfect for me and perfect for what I needed him to be. Kane and I were a team, we accomplished more than some ever do in his short 5.5 years. Kane was biddable and loyal and did everything and anything I ever asked him to do and more, and I can't believe he is gone. My sweet boy can finally rest now and there will be no more seizures, no more pain, and his job is done. I know where he is he has his green turtles and ball and gets to run and swim again. He introduced me into this world of dogs and I could have never of been where I am now without him. Kane is officially done with his life with me as he was being called to another, I just wish I had more time with him but I didn't want to see him suffering. Kane stayed with me as long as he could and tried his hardest to stay longer but his body was failing him and I didn't want him to leave this world like that. I know he has many people that loved him and that he loved and I know he will be watching over us all. Sleep well my squishy boy 💚💚
